What is KDC?

KDC is a consulting firm specializing in Internetworking solutions for
business, from secure firewalls to network programming,
from database connectivity to intranet web applications. KDC's parent,
Kooros Consulting,
provides economic consulting services.

Services
|
KDC provides four primary services:

Network Information Service Integration:
Integration of backend business applications and services through Web,
Email, TAP/SMS and instant messaging. We can provide a gateway to your
MySQL, Oracle or Sybase database, for any purpose required by your
business.
Web integration services to support such capabilities may include
Perl/C/C++ CGI, FCGI, Java, JavaScript/LiveScript, PHP, VRML,
and related web programming.

Network Information Service Connectivity:
Design and implementation of enterprise network
connectivity solutions for E-mail, Web, USENET News, Gopher, FTP, etc.
and their integration into business functions through firewalls.
- Network Security:
Design and verification of Internet firewalls, based
on either packet-filtering routers (Cisco, Fore/Ericsson, Juniper)
or integrated solutions (Firewall-1,
SonicWALL, Sidewinder, Cisco PIX/LocalDirector, etc.).
- Training:
On-site classes in Java, JavaScript, Perl CGI, TCP/IP network
design and management, and UNIX System
Administration
- Other:
Community involvement and technical interest have also led KDC to
participate and present at technical conferences such as USENIX and
APRICOT, and undertake specific microcontroller/embedded projects.

Principal

Paul Kooros,
KDC's president, has been working with and using the Internet since 1987,
when it was still known as the ARPAnet. Paul did his time in school at
the University of Colorado, Boulder
departments of Electrical Engineering
and Computer Science.

Based in Boulder, Colorado, his interests include on-line programming
technologies, database connectivity, network engineering,
UNIX system programming and administration, and training.
He is the author, with Michele DeWolfe, of the book
"JavaScript,"
from Prima publishing (July 1996).
